MMMC Annual Night 2013

Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah. Finally I have the chance to sit behind the table comfortably with a cup of coffee, writing about my life for this humble blog of mine. This week I was so busy, only slept for 2-3 hours since last Sunday, making promo video, practicing for the band performance every night for 4 days, all are for the preparation of MMMC Annual Night which was held on 10th January 2013.

But compare to others in the Student Council, I think they are even busier and more hard-working than I am. I don’t care what others had to say about the event, but to all who had involved in the committee, the volunteers, and everyone who had helped us to make the event a big success, picture perfect!!! Splendid deco!!! Great food!!! JOB WELL DONE GUYS!!!

This is the second event that I had joined in this semester (although not actively involved, sorry) because most of the time I as one of the IT directors will work alone in my room doing the design things and stuff. Rarely attend the weekly meeting (sorry again). There are lots of things that I still can learn from this team and I will work even harder next time, InsyaAllah. There’s always room for improvement. Thank you so much for the chance and opportunity that had been given to me, and all the colorful memories.

Wira tekun menelaah buku sejarah yang ada di hadapannya, tatkala itu Helmi menegurnya

“Wira, kau tak penat ke?”

“Erm, aku nak habiskan baca ni malam ni,” Wira membalas

“Kau nak tau tak, malam tadi aku mimpi ngeri duh~”

Wira memberhentikan pembacaannya. Dia menumpukan perhatian terhadap apa yang ingin diperkatakan oleh sahabatnya itu.

           “Kenapa pula, kau mimpi apa?” Wira cuba bertanya

“Aku mimpi masa tu aku dengan adik aku tengah tunggu kat platform komuter, entah macam mana aku macam tertolak atau sengaja tolak adik aku jatuh dari platform lepas tu dia terus kena langgar dengan komuter. Bila aku terbangun rasa cuak gila,” cerita Helmi dengan sungguh-sungguh.

Wira tersenyum mendegar cerita Helmi. Jarang sekali teman sebiliknya itu ingin bercerita hal sebegitu kepadanya.

“Kalau kau, apa yang kau rasa kalau benda macam tu jadi kat kau,” Helmi bertanya kepada Wira.

Movie Pick of The Week (18)

Salam and good day everyone. Been quite some time I haven’t post anything new in this humble blog of mine. The thing is I was busy managing my time with the new working environment. As for now, I’m doing my clinical phase a.k.a Junior Clerkship of MBBS degree in Melaka. Once in awhile I’ll be going to Muar too. I’ve finished my surgery (pembedahan) and obstetrics & gynaecology (sakit puan) posting for the past two months and currently I’m in paediatric posting (kanak-kanak) right now. That’s it, the latest update about me.

Last Saturday (1/12/2012) A.K.N.I watched Life of Pi at Jusco AEON Tebrau. This is one of the movies that my late brother-in-law and I looking forward to watch this year. The movie was directed by Ang Lee the same director for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000), Hulk (2003), Brokeback Mountain (2005) and starring Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain.

ABANG…

Dari kecil lagi saya teringin nak rasa ada seorang big brother, sebab tu bila along kenalkan Bang Fee kepada kami sekeluarga, saya teruja sangat. Memang BIG brother betul-betul, hehehe. Akhirnya ada juga abang yang boleh ajak lepak keluar kedai mamak malam-malam.

DENGAN KAMI…

Bang Fee memang peramah orangnya. Baik, bertimbang-rasa, penyabar, caring, senang cerita Bang Fee memang ada ciri-ciri seorang abang yang sejati. Tak pernah sekali pun saya dengar Bang Fee tinggikan suara, even masa tengah drive. A very down to earth type of person, Bang Fee memang boleh mesra dengan semua orang. Bila kitorang adik-beradik kumpul bersama, kami memang suka sakat-menyakat satu sama lain gurau-gurau orang kata, tapi of course la Bang Fee yang selalu menang. Ada je benda yang dia nak “bahan” kitorg. Bang Fee selalu kata kitorg ni kelakar, padahal dia lagi kelakar sebenarnya *senyum*. Saya dan adik saya, Syira tak kisah pun kalau gurau-gurau dengan Bang Fee sebab kami memang suka gelak-gelak. Lagi pun, dengan kakak saya Bang Fee memang layan dia dengan baik sangat-sangat. Dia memang sangat-sangat romantic daripada apa yang saya lihat dan dengar. 

Oh yes, I am very worried!!!

At this moment, all over the world people are talking about Sam Bacille and his film “Innocence of Muslims”. As a Muslim I am too, feel offended after hearing about it. All of us Muslims love our Prophet Muhammad (SAW), but never in my imagination that I think Prophet Muhammad will agree with the violence that some of us used to ‘teach’ those who are not-yet-Muslim. In my personal opinion, this is not right. We are angry with one person, but we are being outraged and hurting others. From what I see, what we did was approving to what they had said about Islam, that it is a religion that promoting terrorism. I remember one scene from the movie “Kingdom of Heaven” where the city was being surrounded by Salahuddin and his men, but they didn’t attack the city blindly. Salahuddin and the King of Jerusalem met each other face-to-face, and negotiated the term for what they think is best for both sides. ISLAM adalah ugama yang bertamadun, amuk yang melampau-lampau bukan ajaran ISLAM.

Let’s talk about Malaysia now shall we? I want to share with you guys what I feel now about this country. Few months back in the news, the media reported that Malaysia was one of the safest countries in the world. When I read the report and compared it with the crime cases reported in the newspaper, “one of the safest countries” really? Sorry, but I’m not convinced.

Malu Beragama??

Beberapa hari lepas, penulis ada menonton sebuah rancangan di TV Al-Hijrah saluran ASTRO. Dalam rancangan tersebut ada satu segmen di mana ustaz tersebut menghampiri orang awam yang sedang menunggu dan mengajaknya berzikir. Pakcik yang ditemuduga itu kelihatan malu-malu apabila diminta menyambung doa zikir yang dibaca, manakala si isteri yang duduk di sebelahnya hanya senyum-senyum sambil memandang ke arah lain. Kemudian penulis bertanya pada diri sendiri di dalam hati,

“kalau aku la kan, tetiba orang tak kenal datang ajak berzikir macam tu, aku boleh buat tak?”
 

Saban kali apabila melihat orang lain berbuat kebaikkan yang penulis sendiri tidak buat, hati ini akan terdetik “macam lemah je iman aku ni?” Persoalan yang penulis cuba lontarkan di sini adalah berkaitan tentang individu muslim segan mempamerkan identiti dirinya sebagai seorang yang beragama ISLAM.
