Be Great to Show Your Gratefullness

Each one of us has our own idol in which some people might called, a hero. The one that more or less inspire us to be what we are today. For little kids their idol could be Superman, Ultraman, policeman, or fireman. For teenagers their idol could be celebrities. For adults I don’t think they bother much about idol because they’re just busy making money to make ends meet, but some of them I do believe have idol too. Different ages, different generation their idol are different. But one thing for sure, we can always take this one person to be our idol. He is none other than our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W (pbuh). Baginda yatim piatu sejak kecil, pernah bekerja mengembala kambing, hidup yang sederhana tetapi sentiasa melakukan yang terbaik kepada orang di sekelilingnya walaupun baginda dikeji dan dimaki. Dialah kekasih Allah, Muhammad Bin Abdullah.

We like to see great people, we smile or even cry when we listen to their story but is it enough for us to be great just by listening and watching them. Don’t you want to be in that group of people? Be great? You have the potential, you have better grade in exam, you know something that people don’t. You have the talent that other people don’t have. But why don’t you share what you have with others?

Shy? What you have is a gift from god, so when you said “I’m shy” you’re telling that you are not grateful with the gift? You think it’s a burden? I give you a simple analogy, you already married to someone and a married couple usually wears ring on their finger to tell people that they are married. Tell me how do you feel when your spouse is shy to put on the ring that you gave to her?

One thing we have to understand is, the gift that we received from God isn’t exclusive for us only. Daripada rezeki yang kita ada, kita diwajibkan untuk membayar zakat(charity) apabila sudah cukup haulnya. Dan zakat itu adalah bertujuan untuk membantu orang lain. The same goes with other things. Knowledge, talent, wealth and energy. No matter who you are, either you’re rich or poor, have a good education or not, you do carry some responsibilities to the community that you live in. If you do love Allah and Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, be a great person. Even a tiny small star in the sky shines in the darkness.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
